Nearly There...

Sun Dec 27, 2009, 10:11 PM
Just thought you'd like to know that I'm now in Charters Towers, QLD. $5 motel broadband ftw. Last night, I stayed in Emerald, where I had no internet 'cause I was not forking out $12 for 24hrs when I would only be on for one at the most. The night bfore that (also the night we left home), we were in Goondiwindi on the NSW/QLD border, where I had FREE motel internets. Townsville (where we're goig to be holidaying) is only about 135km away; we could have easily made it up there in three days, but it was nice to just cruise on up. All up, not counting rest stops and overnight motel stays, I'd been sitting in the car for 21 hours all up. Madfun.

How was everyone's Christmas? I got some sweet stuff, including the record player that I'd been dying to have. What awesome crap did you haul in?

BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES!

Thu Dec 17, 2009, 10:05 PM
It's starting to storm again! D:

I'm nearly over my cold, which is great. Just an icky chesty cough that I can supress quite easily, and the tiniest remnants of a runny nose, so all good! I'm going into Coffs tomorrow and meeting with some of my friends to celebrate my birthday by seeing AVATAR, in 3d. I shall let you know how it goes.

I'd like to thank =Nevar23 for allowing me to be a contributor to #ScaryAtton; it's really quite awesome to see the words "Deviant ~ariat of #ScaryAtton" instead of the plain old "Deviant ~ariat". 'Tis a nice little thrill.

I've downloaded a set of dynamic hair brushes from :devarrisistable: (it's in today's DD's), and can't wait to try them out. Expect another horse manip soon.

Can I also say a big pulic thank you to *parrotsnpineapple, from whom I recieved a birthday/christmas present of a beautiful horse sketch, and a lovely necklace. You'll be getting a decent present soon, I promise! To everyone else, she's taking commissions, so check out her beautiful art. A beautiful christmas present for someone, perhaps?

Epic Fail. D:

Guess who has a shocking cold in summer? That's right, I do. I've been battling an itchy throat, runny yet blocked nose, and achy joints. Not to mention that I've had hardly any sleep, so I'm tired as all hell. Also, not helping things, Australia has yet again decided to remind us that it is a land of extremes: from stinking hot weather not a week ago, it has absolutely pissed down rain overnight, with a huge display of lightning and thunder, which hasn't helped my sleeping. I'm drinking coffee now, so hopefully that will pick me up.

I've been really lax with submitting lit at the moment, and I'm sorry. I've started horse RPing again on Genesis, which you should join. It's the creation of *parrotsnpineapple and *Blind-Circus, and it's coming along quite nicely. I've actually been writing some Fallout 3 fic, so I might upload that at some point. I'm also on a Fall Out Boy binge. They're my favourite band, and I can't stop listening to their stuff at the moment.

With any luck I'll be getting my hair layered and coloured again, which would be fantastic. Thick hair will not be good in the mugginess of Townsville when we do get up there.

Anyway, I hope that you all have a good Christmas, or whatever else you celebrate. Get lots of presents, kay?

Sweet Sixteen! ...and three days.

Tue Dec 8, 2009, 4:29 PM
Sorry for the lag, haha.

So! I am sweet sixteen and officially LEGAL, if you catch my drift. ;)
Not that I will be getting it on anytime soon. It's just fun to shout it around. :P

I had a great day for the 6th: we had our NSW rellies (the rest are down in VIC) over for a bit of lunch, and I got presents and a beautiful chocolate cake that mum picked up from the northside bakery. Omnomnom. My stash of presents includes:

- Queen-sized beddery
- The complete works of William Shakespeare
- Angels and Demons for DVD
- Planet Country, Lee Kernaghan's new album
- Around $150 worth of cash

Pretty good haul, I dare say. The cash I will splurge on a pair of cowboy boots, which I have dearly longed for. Christmas cash will go towards an iPod Touch. Also, as I've said before, I'm going away on Boxing Day for about two weeks up to Townsville in QLD, so I may or may not be able to bring my lappy along for photography on the fly. Probably not, so there'll be a two-week gap in which I'll be seeing in the new year in a foreign state. But it will be HOT HOT HOT! up there, which will be lovely, but it shall also be muggy, which I don't like so much. I prefer the dry heat of inland Australia, like it is being now at my house. Temperatures have reached to 35C+, so I've been in my element.

Also, if you like RPing, go check out Genesis, a semi-realistic wild horse RPG that will be opening very soon. It's operated by *Blind-Circus and *parrotsnpineapple, and there are just a few little kinks to iron out.

Getting into the Christmas spirit, guys? I personally can't wait for a scorching Chrissie day in which to eat cold ham and prawn cocktails, and go swimming in the river. <3

Photomanips & Greasers <3

Tue Dec 1, 2009, 12:56 AM
Jess is getting back into the swing of things, photomanip-wise. I haven't manipp'd in absolute yonks, and I'm really pleased with the way my most recent manips have turned out. It must be the fact I'm on my two-month summer holiday, so I have heaps of time on my hands.

I also put up the Chrissie tree and decorations today! Funfun! Can I let you in on a secret? I got mum to buy advent calendars. Mine's a My Little Pony one. :giggle: Also, birthday in five days! Sweet sixteen! Yet never been kissed. Alas. However, I do think that will change sometime in the near future. ;)

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, but I really love Fallout 3. And since it's 2277, and technology has advanced at a faster rate than our society, but stuck within the societal norms of the 50's, I now have a big obsession with the 50's. And where there is the 50's, there are Greasers! I've always loved greasers, so I've fallen in fangirly love with Butch DeLoria, one of your followers, and who you've known since you were little and in the Vault. Check out *Ayleid's Fallout gallery if you're interested.

Enjoy. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas (yes, I'm atheist and even I say that).
