I made this stamp because I'm sick of so many religious people who think that because we don't worship this so-called "god", that we instead worship the devil. It's absolute crap. If you want to know what an Atheist REALLY is, check this link out: Atheism

Comments from people of any belief or religion is appreciated, as long as they are kept civil, please.

EDIT;; ~Fieruta has pointed out something very significant that I forgot to mention: not all Satanists actually worship the devil. To avoid confusion, and you all going "But she said...and then there she said... o.O", I'd like to elaborate a little on the meaning of this stamp.

Yes, the obvious message is there: Atheist does not mean Satanist. And I know that there are branches of Satanism that in fact, do NOT worship the devil in any way, shape or form. What I mean is, that because some are Atheists, or Agnostics, or even Satanists (who don't worship the devil), do not believe in this "god", we are automatically going to hell, and because we don't believe in "god", instead of simply not having a side, it means that we must worship this "devil". Ergo, most religious people with this impression, I'm guessing, think that Worship of Satan = Satanist.

So there you go, hope that cleared up some misconceptions if anyone had any.

EDIT 2;; I know nobody's said anything about it, but I want everyone to know that I am not against religion, or people with religion, just against people putting me in that category and preaching to me about how I'm going to go to hell. I in fact have several friends who are Christian etc., and one side of my family is Catholic, the other side Anglican. One of my distant family is Wiccan. I just wanted to clarify this so nobody jumps up and eats me. o_O

Because we're not. We just choose not to have a religion or believe in religion(s) and/or god(s), either for the reason that we couldn't be bothered, or we disbelieve because we think more logically than others.

It's almost like religious people are going:
"Noes! Dey are thinking logikally! Dey must be satanists!"

i get the same thing. i am wiccan and people assume that i worship satan. i am glad someone decided to point out that not all non christians are satanists

I know, it's ridiculous. And they blast us when we share our views about god etc., even when they preach to us.

yeah. i hate people that try to force their religion on other people. if i dont believe in something thats my choice. if i do then thats also my choice but i dont tell other people that they have to believe it too. i have relatives in wales, which bit?

Any stamp which prevents confusion is useful, I would say. And you're right - people don't know what they're talking about.

However, not all people who call themselves "Satanists" do worship the "devil". There are also the so called LaVeyan Satanists (Anton Szandor LaVey wrote a book called "The Satanic Bible"), who are also atheists, and "Satan" is treated as a fictional character and a symbol of opposition, and not as an entity which they believe exists.

Not that this makes your stamp less valid, of course. :D But just like not every atheist is also a satanist, not all Satanists are devil-worshipers. ;)

Yes, I read about how there are different types of Satanists and how not all of them worship the devil, but do you see what I mean when I say religious people say we are? They instantly assume; because in their minds, it's not possible not to take sides, we worship the devil, and so are going to hell and they automatically put us into the 'Satanist' category whether most satanists actually worship him or not.

Thankyou for the comment, I like to hear others' views on this subject, and I do like it when people elaborate on things like this. :D
